The Mentoring Future Leaders: Insights and Dialogue sessions offer a platform for established leaders in women’s health to share mentorship insights, career trajectories, and pearls of wisdom, followed by interactive Q&A.
This month, we are joined by Marvelous Muchenje! Employed by ViiV Healthcare Canada as the Community Relations Manager. Marvelous is a PhD Student at the Factor-Inwentash Faculty of Social Work at the University of Toronto. Social Work and Global Health practitioner with twenty four (24) years’ experience working as a manager, project coordinator, and other administrative roles in the non-profit and NGO sector. Career history includes twelve (12) years working at Women’s Health in Women’s Hands, Community Health Centre, Toronto, Canada specializing in health promotion, program development, case management, and outreach to women and ethnic-cultural communities. An affirming HIV-positive woman, Marvelous has made it her mission to spread love and empowerment. She is a writer, motivational speaker and advocate for marginalized communities. Marvelous sits on several national boards with a global reach, which she uses to uplift the narratives of those who face injustice. She believes that justice must be intersectional and inclusive in order to improve the quality of life for all.
